		<description>Gumbo
13" x 20"
Year: 2011

A choose-your-own-recipe adventure for Gumbo! This classic New Orleans’ dish is a great example of the mixture of cultures in the historic city. The poster itself illustrates the possibilities, as well as the limits, of letterpress printing. Printed in a 40-poster-series at Studio 150 in Gordo, AL using 7 colors and 10 print runs. It was printed on Crane’s Lettra Letterpress paper, using hand-cut polymer, hand-set metal type, wood type, and photo polymer.

		<description>PieLab Cookbook: The Dollop Report
Print
With: PieLab &#38; Scout Books
Year: 2010-2011

While working at PieLab in 2010, I planned a community Bake-Off which was held in June of that year. I compiled the winning recipes into a cookbook but had difficulty acquiring the funds to print them. During the following year, I was fortunate to befriend some wonderful folks at Pinball Publishing and Scout Books. They offered to team up with PieLab and donate the printing costs. The cookbook evolved into what you see below, a pocket-sized cookbook featuring favorite recipes from PieLab as well as recipes from the 2010 Bake-Off. Plus, they fit into a recipe box!

See the Scout Books case study here. You can purchase the books from Scout Books or at PieLab in Greensboro, AL.
